I ignore the persistent pressing in my head, I don't want to talk to anyone. Stan howls as my thoughts go back to Lucy's face, she looked so hurt and fragile as she spoke, But for the life of me. I can't recall what she said. All I was focused on were her eyes, those big brown orbs filled with pain, pain that I caused. I knew I had lost her and the realization of that sends bolts of pain through my body.
The next moment my entire world turns black.
Lucy's POV I hear voices shouting, but my brain is not able to process what is being said. I feel that a pair of arms liftup.
but I am to numb to care.

Izzy's POV The moment it registers that Daniel ran, I shout at Carlos and Donnie to follow him and to bring him back.
I can hear Lucy cry and as I walk towards her, to comfort her, I see her lose consciousness. Luckily my Dad already held her in his arms as it happened and I tell him to take her to the infirmary.
Jenna tellsthat Daniel is blocking her and I curse under my breath. I am about to lose my patients when I feel two arms wrap aroundfrom behind.
I lean in to Jordan and turn my face towards his chest, inhale his scent to calm Evie down. It takes a few seconds before I am able to focus again.
Carlos letsknow that they have picked up his scent and are in pursuit. I wonder what got in to him, for as long as I have known him, he has been talking about finding his Mate.
Daniel is the oldest member of my Squad at a hundred and thirteen years old, he has been waiting so long to find her and then he goes around and screws up royally. I just hope we can mend what he broke.
Lucy's POV I hear a voice softly whispering, but I can't make out the words. It is annoying as hell and I want it to stop, 1 just want to be left alone.
22:16 Fri, Jan 31 Chapter 213 Finished As my head starts to clear a little, the events from earlier crushing back and I want the blackness to claimagain. "Lucy, don't give up." I hear the whispered voice more clearly this time, but it doesn't sound familiar.
I try to concentrate on my surroundings, but there is nothing there. I focus even harder, trying to pick up on something. The unfamiliar whispering voice keeps talking to me, keeps tellingnot to give up.
I decide to focus on the voice, I want to know who it belongs too and to inform that person to shut the fuck up. Thinking that, I hear a faint voice in my head "You always say that." It is Sasha.
"I thought I had lost you." I say to her and she tellsI almost did. I ask her how it is possible that she is still here, but she doesn't respond.
It is then that I start to get a grip on my bearings and I feel something heavy on my chest. I try to remove it, but it only becomes tighter. I want to open my eyes, but for sreason I am unable to do so.

Izzy's POV.
Pacing in front of the door to Lucy's room in the infirmary, I link Carlos to find out if they were able to catch up to Daniel.
"Commander, we are on our way back. We found him collapsed near the border." He informsas soon as I finish my sentence.
Without knocking, I walk in to Lucy's room and tell the Pack-Doctor about Daniel. He asksto move the other He room bed in the room next Lucy's. I do as he asks and tell him to explain it to me.
"Werewolves tend to fade after a rejection, but from what you toldthere is still chance tosafe her. If she is separated from her Mate for too long, her Wolf will fade and that will kill h Making sure they are close to one and other might give her Wolf the will to fight." My heart sinks at that thought and I tell Carlos to double up his speed.
Without asking or saying anything, he closes the link and I know he with be here in seconds the door slams open as he walks in with Daniel draped over his shoulder. It is close to midnight when the Pack-Doctor kicks us out of the infirmary, we don't object, we just follow the order.
